Rescue teams from more than 30 countries\nare in Venezuela to carry out the mission. They are involved in search\nand rescue operations and providing support for the Venezuelan people.\nCurrently, she said, the Venezuelan government is assessing the\ncondition of damaged buildings, registering families who have lost their\nhomes, and they will be placed in temporary camps. The Ministry of\nHousing is drafting a new home construction programme. According to\nRodriguez, the government is targeting thousands of affected families to\nobtain new housing by the end of 2026. Meanwhile, the Italian Ministry\nof Foreign Affairs stated that 11 Italian citizens died as a result of\nthe earthquake in Venezuela, while 40 others are still unaccounted for.\nMore than 100 personnel from Italy, including members of the civil\nprotection agency, firefighters, medical staff, and search and rescue\nexperts, have been sent to Venezuela. Italy has also distributed\nhumanitarian aid and equipment via two military transport aircraft\nflights. Venezuela was struck by major earthquakes measuring magnitudes\n7.2 and 7.5 last week.
