        "content": "<p>More soldiers fired for drugs<\/p>\n<p>MEDAN, North Sumatra: Two soldiers and a staff official with<br>\nthe province&apos;s Bukit Barisan Military Command were dishonorably<br>\ndischarged from the military on Monday for their involvement in<br>\ndrug trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>Bukit Barisan military commander Maj. Gen. Tri Tamtomo<br>\npresided over a special ceremony at the headquarters&apos; compound in<br>\nMedan to mark the dismissal of the three officers, none of whom<br>\nwill be reported to the police.<\/p>\n<p>The two discharged soldiers were Chief Pvt. Julham Riadi and<br>\nFirst Pvt. Irvan Meiwan, while the dismissed civil servant was<br>\nLamrita Ginting, an official at the command&apos;s secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>Tri Tamtomo said the three were fired because of their roles<br>\nin illegal drug peddling -- believed to be cannabis.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Despite whatever economic reasons they had, they have misused<br>\ntheir positions to commit a crime.
