More 'ninjas' killed by mobs<\/p>\n
SEMARANG, Central Java (JP): Three more people suspected of
\ninvolvement in the murder of a number of religious teachers have
\nbeen killed by mobs in Demak and Semarang.<\/p>\n
Demak Police chief Lt. Col. R.M.L. Tampubolon said on Saturday
\nthat the victims, who died on Friday night, all suffered from
\nmental disorders.<\/p>\n
He did not reveal the source of his information.<\/p>\n
The death toll for people killed on suspicion of involvement
\nin the murders of religious teachers now stands at 30 for Central
\nJava alone.<\/p>\n
Tampubolon said that in all three incidents passersby had
\ntried to intervene to save the victims, but were pushed away.<\/p>\n
One person was killed in the village of Jetak in Sayung
\ndistrict, and another person died in Wonowoso village,
\nKarangtengah district, both Demak.<\/p>\n
The third victim was killed in Branjang village, Ungaran
\ndistrict, in Semarang. The unidentified man, who was alone, tried
\nto flee when questioned by residents out on a security patrol.
\nWhen he broke into a run, people shouted \"ninja\" and hundreds of
\npeople gave chase.<\/p>\n
\"Ninja\" refers to the masked men who have murdered scores of
\nreligious teachers and people suspected of practicing black magic
