Indonesians are falling behind other nations in some respects,
\nbut they cannot blame other people for this condition.
\nIndonesians need to change themselves to become a creative
\nnation.<\/p>\n
On TV, famous singers unashamedly perform other people's songs
\nwithout bothering about a copyright (particularly in respect to
\nsongs from the West) and they even receive applause. When the
\nU.S. slapped an arms embargo on Indonesia, this nation could do
\nnothing although there was another country ready to sell its
\nweapons to us. Or, perhaps, Indonesia wishes to produce its own
\nweapons as it has mastered aerospace technology.<\/p>\n
Why can't we manufacture combat choppers so that we can use
\nthem to crush the Free Aceh Movement? Why does our naval force
\nget confused when dealing with sea pirates?
\nCan't we modify the CASA aircraft into a mini flying radar to
\nmonitor the vast expanse of Indonesia's territorial waters?<\/p>\n
We have a lot of universities and research centers but they
\nrarely make new discoveries or inventions. Can't our experts find
\na special preserving agent so that dishes with coconut milk can
\nremain fresh. This would be helpful for housewives.<\/p>\n
Papua has been a part of the Republic of Indonesia for 40
\nyears, but the government has yet to get Papuans to dress
\nproperly.<\/p>\n
The mortality rate of babies and mothers giving birth is high,
\nbut the community health centers are open only until 11 a.m.<\/p>\n
We do not need spectacular things. We just need ordinary
\nthings that can boost efficiency and effectiveness. Start right
\nnow without making any excuses.<\/p>\n
One of the characteristics of a person lacking in creativity
\nis the tendency to blame others for the condition that they are
