Molotov cocktail explodes on house<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A Molotov cocktail exploded on the roof of a
\nhouse of a junior high school teacher in Sungai Bambu, North
\nJakarta, stunning the family and their neighbors on Tuesday
\nevening.<\/p>\n
No serious damage was sustained but the blast left a hole 20-
\ncentimeters in diameter in the roof.<\/p>\n
According to Idries, a teacher at the state-run SMPN 24 junior
\nhigh school, he and his son were playing inside the house,
\nlocated near the Ancol toll road at about 9 p.m., when they were
\ninterrupted by the sound of \"something falling on the roof\".<\/p>\n
\"We ignored it at first, until it exploded seconds later.\"<\/p>\n
Stunned by the blast, he and his son rushed outside and saw
\nsmoke billowing from the roof.<\/p>\n
\"I promptly turned the electricity off to avoid possible
\ndanger.\"<\/p>\n
Concerned about the incident, Idries woke his wife, who was
\nasleep with their small daughter.<\/p>\n
After nervously waiting a few minutes, he asked neighbors to
\nassist him to check the roof.<\/p>\n
\"We found a bottle on the roof and reported the case to
\npolice.\"<\/p>\n
According to City Police spokesman Lt. Col. Zainuri Lubis, the
\ntop of the aluminum bottle was burned.<\/p>\n
\"The investigation is still underway.\"<\/p>\n
North Jakarta Police detective chief Maj. Heru Winarko
\nsuspected that the homemade bomb may been thrown by a passing
\nmotorist.<\/p>\n
\"But it is too early to speculate about the motive behind the
