Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told Russian President\nVladimir Putin that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only way to\nresolve conflicts, amidst the ongoing wars in Ukraine and the Middle\nEast.<\/p>\n
Modi held talks with Putin in New Delhi on Friday (11\/9), on the\nsidelines of the BRICS Summit scheduled to take place this weekend.<\/p>\n
The Indian Prime Minister engaged in extensive discussions with\nPresident Putin regarding various aspects of the Special and Privileged\nStrategic Partnership between India and Russia, according to Indian\nMinistry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal via the social\nmedia platform X.<\/p>\n
According to Jaiswal, both leaders reviewed developments in bilateral\ncooperation across various sectors, including trade, energy, defence,\nspace, and people-to-people ties, which remain a primary focus of the\nlong-standing India-Russia partnership.<\/p>\n
Jaiswal stated that the two leaders also exchanged views on various\nissues of mutual interest at regional and global levels, including\nconflicts in the Middle East and the Black Sea region.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Prime Minister reaffirmed that dialogue and diplomacy remain the\nway forward in resolving conflicts, and India is ready to assist in\npeace efforts,\u201d said Jaiswal.<\/p>\n
Putin arrived in the Indian capital on Friday morning local time and\nis scheduled to hold several meetings during the summit.<\/p>\n
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov added that European nations are\nmistaken if they believe Russia should be confronted from a position of\nstrength.<\/p>\n
