I often burst into laughter when I watch the way Indonesian
\nactors act on television, who tend to be so westernized. For
\nexample, they like say \"ahm\" while they are thinking of
\nsomething, \"yap\" instead of the Indonesian ya. \"Knock\", when
\nknocking at the door, instead of tok, tok. \"Beep\" for the sound
\nof car's horn, instead of the Indonesian tet, tet. In the future,
\nit will be difficult to distinguish Indonesians from Americans.
\nThis is only an example of small matters. Not to mention such
\nthings as food, dress, and daily conduct.<\/p>\n
I am really sad at these trends. They are lacking social
\nconcerns, love of modesty. Also I am concerned about the way they
\nappreciate western music. The young people are more interested in
\nthe musician's accessories such as earrings, bracelets and having
\nlong hair, rather than their musical rhythm and expression.<\/p>\n
