        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Jakarta\nMetropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) is opening mobile driving licence\n(SIM) services at two locations in Jakarta for members of the public\nwishing to renew their valid driving permits on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official X account <span class=\"citation\" data-cites=\"tmcpoldametro\">@tmcpoldametro<\/span>, the service will\noperate from 07:00 to 12:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB) at the\nfollowing two locations:<\/p>\n<p>East Jakarta: Jalan Raden Mas Intan (beside McDonald\u2019s, Duren Sawit)\nWest Jakarta: Jalan Panjang (beside Indomaret, Kebon Jeruk)<\/p>\n<p>The mobile SIM service centres handle only renewals of still-valid\nlicences for specific categories, namely SIM A (car) and SIM C\n(motorcycle). Should the licence have already expired, the holder is\nrequired to apply for a new licence at the SIM Processing Centre\n(Satpas) in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Driving licence validity is now calculated as five years from the\ndate of issuance and is no longer aligned with the holder\u2019s date of\nbirth.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP)\nNo.\u00a076 of 2020 concerning Types and Tariffs of Non-Tax State Revenue\n(PNBP) applicable to the National Police, the charges are Rp80,000 for\nSIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to these fees, applicants must also pay supplementary\ncharges, comprising Rp60,000 for a psychological test and Rp35,000 for a\nhealth examination.<\/p>\n<p>For reference, motorists who are unable to present a valid driving\nlicence face sanctions under Article 288, Paragraph 2 of Law No.\u00a022 of\n2009 on Road Traffic and Transport, carrying a maximum penalty of one\nmonth\u2019s imprisonment or a fine of up to Rp250,000.<\/p>",
