Jakarta \u2013 Mitratel (PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk), a subsidiary of\nTelkom Indonesia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT\nZTE Indonesia (ZTE) to develop strategic collaboration aimed at creating\nnetwork efficiency solutions and technology innovations in\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n
Mitratel Chief Executive Theodorus Ardi Hartoko stated in Jakarta on\nFriday that Mitratel and ZTE have agreed to collaborate on exploring and\nstudying new technologies, including technical validation and solution\ndevelopment that can support improved service quality and network\noptimisation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis collaboration is expected to bring a more adaptive approach to\nthe evolving needs of the telecommunications industry, while\nstrengthening the competitiveness of Indonesia\u2019s digital ecosystem,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The MoU signing marks the initial milestone of the partnership\nbetween the two companies in establishing a cooperation framework\nfocused on exploring new technologies, concept evaluation, technical\ntesting, and developing innovative solutions to enhance the capabilities\nand efficiency of national telecommunications infrastructure.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe strategic partnership between Mitratel and ZTE is an important\nstep in expanding the exploration of technology solutions that can\nincrease efficiency and capability of telecommunications networks in\nIndonesia,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Through this MoU, both parties are exploring collaboration\nopportunities in several areas, including Radio Access Network (RAN)\ntechnology development and utilising more efficient energy sources to\nsupport network management.<\/p>\n
ZTE Indonesia President Director Richard Liang welcomed the\ncollaboration with Mitratel as part of a joint effort to support\ntelecommunications infrastructure strengthening in Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cZTE has maintained cooperation with the Telkom Group, including\nthrough various initiatives involving Mitratel, such as developing\nsolutions in the energy sector to support infrastructure operations,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Through this partnership, both parties will explore various joint\ninitiatives that may include technology concept development, technical\ntesting, and potential implementation of innovative solutions relevant\nto market needs, according to Mitratel\u2019s statement.<\/p>\n
More specific forms of cooperation, whether technical, operational,\nor commercial, will be further regulated in a definitive agreement\nformally agreed upon by both parties.<\/p>\n
