        "content": "<p>In Wednesday\u2019s departure, two buses dedicated to persons with\ndisabilities were dispatched to Palembang and Solo, carrying a total of\n88 travelers. The ministry\u2019s Secretary General Arif Toha Tjahjagama said\nthe free homecoming program aims to ease travel costs and reduce\naccident risks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis program is not only intended to assist the public, specifically\nthose with special needs, so they can travel home at more affordable\ncosts, but also to reduce the use of motorcycles for long-distance\ntrips, which carry relatively high traffic accident risks,\u201d he said here\non Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry\u2019s Child- and Disability-Friendly Homecoming Program has\nbeen implemented since 2019. After being halted due to the COVID-19\npandemic, it resumed in 2023 and continues to date.<\/p>\n<p>To participate in the free program, applicants filled out forms\ndistributed through disability communities. Registered participants\nreceive free round-trip tickets.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Wednesday\u2019s departure from Kampung Rambutan Bus\nTerminal, a similar program using air transport was launched on March\n13, 2026, at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.<\/p>\n<p>On March 17, another departure using BSI buses bound for Solo was\nheld at BSI Tower.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry also plans to organize a departure using train services\nat Pasar Senen Station.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2026 Free Homecoming Program for land transportation, the\nministry has prepared a quota of 15,834 passengers and transport for 240\nmotorcycles to 34 destination cities across Java and Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>Departures are being carried out in stages from several terminals in\nthe Greater Jakarta area.
