        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com \u2014 The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has\nrevealed the reasons behind the suspension of Garuda Indonesia (GIA)\nflight operations on the Jakarta\u2013Bengkulu route. Previously, the\nstate-owned airline officially halted services on that route from 28\nMarch 2026, with the last flight recorded on the same date. Director\nGeneral of Civil Aviation at the Ministry of Transportation, Lukman F\nLaisa, stated that the decision was influenced by passenger demand being\ndivided with Citilink airline. He explained that the seat occupancy rate\nor load factor on Garuda Indonesia flights on that route was relatively\nlow. For economy class, the load factor (LF) was recorded at around 65\npercent, while business class was around 20 percent. According to\nLukman, this situation was part of the considerations for the airline in\nadjusting its flight network strategy (network planning). \u201cHowever, PT\nGIA is currently adjusting its network planning, so it is hoped that in\nthe future, PT GIA can operate again in all provinces in Indonesia,\u201d he\nadded.
