        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has prohibited around 9,000\nbus fleets from operating following safety inspections (ramp checks)\nconducted during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah transportation period. The\nDirectorate General of Land Transportation under Kemenhub recorded that\nramp checks have been performed on 60,946 bus units from 23 February to\n23 March 2026. From this total, 9,000 bus units were declared unfit for\noperation, including 1,941 units for administrative violations and 7,131\nunits for major technical violations. \u201cReceiving fines and operational\nbans for administrative violations total 1,941 units or 3.18 percent,\nand operational bans for major technical violations total 7,131 units or\n11.70 percent,\u201d explained the Director General of Land Transportation,\nAan Suhanan, in his statement on Tuesday (24\/3\/2026). Meanwhile, 38,758\nbus units or 63.59 percent were declared roadworthy and permitted to\noperate. Additionally, 13,116 units or 21.52 percent received\nimprovement warnings for supporting technical violations. Besides\nvehicle inspections, Kemenhub also conducted health checks on bus\ndrivers. Of the 683 drivers examined, 634 individuals or 92.83 percent\nwere declared healthy and fit to drive. \u201cMeanwhile, 40 individuals or\n5.86 percent are fit to drive with notes, and 9 drivers were declared\nunfit to drive,\u201d he said. From 34 vehicles inspected at the location, 18\nunits were declared roadworthy, while the other 16 units received\nimprovement warnings for supporting technical violations. Aan revealed\nseveral violations found, including inactive or absent BLU-e devices, as\nwell as inactive or unavailable Supervision Cards (KPS). \u201cVehicles\ndeclared not meeting technical and\/or administrative aspects include two\nvehicles with inactive BLU-e, three vehicles without BLU-e, three\nvehicles with inactive KPS, and 13 vehicles without KPS,\u201d he stated. Aan\nalso urged all bus operators not to operate fleets that do not meet\ntechnical or administrative requirements, and to ensure drivers remain\nin prime condition.<\/p>",
