        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate General of Land Transportation of\nthe Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has recorded conducting safety\ninspections or ramp checks on 60,946 bus fleets during the Eid al-Fitr\n1447 Hijri transport period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSafety inspections were carried out to the maximum to ensure the\nsafety and comfort of travellers using public transport during the Eid\noutbound and return flows,\u201d said the Director General of Land\nTransportation of Kemenhub, Aan Suhanan, in a statement in Jakarta on\nTuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that of that number, 27,635 units or 45.34 percent\ninspected were fleets on inter-city inter-provincial (AKAP) routes;\n27,461 or 45.06 percent vehicles on inter-city intra-provincial (AKDP)\nroutes; then tourism transport 2,651 units or 4.35 percent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd other categories 3,199 units or 5.25 percent of the total\ninspected,\u201d Aan explained.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequently, there were repair warnings (technical support\nviolations) for 13,116 units or 21.52 percent; received fines and\noperational bans (administrative violations) for 1,941 units or 3.18\npercent; and operational bans (main technical violations) for 7,131\nunits or 11.70 percent of the total inspected.<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned that checks were not only carried out on vehicles but\nalso on drivers. The health of around 683 drivers has been examined.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Aan said that the majority of drivers examined were in\nhealthy condition and fit to drive, namely 634 people or about 92.83\npercent. Meanwhile, 40 people or 5.86 percent were fit to drive with\nnotes, and 9 drivers were declared unfit to drive.<\/p>",
