        "content": "<p>The Director of Air Transport at the Ministry of Transport, Agustinus\nBudi H, stated that domestic flight ticket prices are more affordable\ncompared to international routes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring peak season, domestic ticket prices are actually cheaper than\ninternational tickets,\u201d said Agustinus during an online press conference\nwith the Ministry of Tourism on Tuesday, 17 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He made this assertion after comparing domestic and international\nticket prices during the holiday season (peak season).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor example, a Jakarta-Singapore flight is about two hours. We also\ntried comparing it with our domestic routes of similar flight duration,\nand it turned out to be cheaper,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, there are foreign operators that also apply expensive\nticket prices during peak season,\u201d Agustinus added.<\/p>\n<p>The government has rolled out several holiday packages to support\ntourism. The Ministry of Tourism\u2019s Assistant Deputy for Domestic Tourism\nMarketing, Erwita Dianti, noted: \u201cWe have collected approximately 71\nRamadan and Eid holiday tourism packages from 40 industries.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has also prepared a \u201cReturn to\nJakarta\u201d programme offering hotel discounts, flight ticket discounts,\nand free admission to tourist attractions during the 2026 Eid holiday\nfor Jakarta residents.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cReturn to Jakarta\u201d programme will run from 27 February 2026 to\n31 March 2026.<\/p>",
