Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Tourism has begun preparing a\nscheme to reconstruct Sade Village in West Nusa Tenggara following a\nfire disaster on Saturday (22\/8).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe from the Ministry of Tourism, together with Poltekpar (Tourism\nPolytechnic), are also assisting; we will hold meetings with the Local\nGovernment regarding how to restore and rebuild, and of course, involve\nthe community together,\u201d said Minister of Tourism Widiyante Putri\nWardhana in an official statement confirmed in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n
Widiyanti stated that the recovery will focus on drafting a\ncomprehensive reconstruction masterplan, which is not only oriented\ntowards physical construction but also towards strengthening the social,\ncultural, and economic resilience of the local community.<\/p>\n
To align these efforts, Widiyanti held a coordination meeting with\nthe Governor of West Nusa Tenggara, Lalu Muhamad Iqbal, the Regent of\nCentral Lombok, Lalu Pathul Bahri, the Regional Leadership Coordination\nForum (Forkopimda), the Lombok Tourism Polytechnic, and various tourism\necosystem stakeholders. The meeting formulated four main steps in the\nlong-term reconstruction plan for the Sade Traditional Village.<\/p>\n
The first step involves the formation of a cross-sector working team\ninvolving central government ministries\/agencies, local governments,\npartners, and indigenous communities.<\/p>\n
This team is tasked with conducting detailed data collection on\naffected residents and workers to ensure that the distribution of aid is\ntargeted and accurate.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the government plans to open a single-window donation\naccount to facilitate the collection of reconstruction funds for the\nvillage. This step will be balanced with efforts to secure the supply of\ntraditional building materials, which remains a primary challenge for\nthe indigenous community in restoring their dwellings.<\/p>\n
The third step focuses on drafting a reconstruction masterplan in\ncollaboration with stakeholders and indigenous communities to ensure the\ncharacter and authentic identity of Sade Village are preserved.<\/p>\n
She emphasised that the traditional houses in Sade hold high\nhistorical value and serve as the primary livelihood for residents;\ntherefore, the central and local governments are committed to continuing\nthe construction of habitable homes for the Sade indigenous people.<\/p>\n
Widiyanti also requested that the recovery process be carried out\ncomprehensively, placing the community as the primary actors.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, she expressed hope that this entire reconstruction\nmasterplan could serve as a pilot project for other traditional villages\nto strengthen risk mitigation and safety without losing traditional\nvalues.<\/p>\n
