        "content": "<p>We have agreed to take steps to help all the victims and at the same\ntime consider together all the students at the Islamic boarding school\nso that they can continue their education,\u201d said Gus Ipul, in a written\nstatement, Friday (15\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the government stands with the victims and will\nprovide comprehensive assistance to them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all stand with the victims, we will work with the Regent to\nprovide protection, rehabilitation and empowerment,\u201d said Gus Ipul.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the continuation of education for the students, Gus Ipul\nsaid that the decision would be determined by the local government in\ncoordination with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and related\nagencies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically, we want to ensure that our children can still access\neducation, they can go to the safest, most comfortable and most feasible\nschool,\u201d said Gus Ipul.<\/p>\n<p>Gus Ipul added that the government will also look at the condition\nand profile of the victims\u2019 families before determining the next steps\nso that the assistance provided is in accordance with their needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, God willing, this will be considered together and we will\nprovide assistance until it is completed,\u201d said Gus Ipul.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, Gus Ipul strongly condemned the sexual abuse and\nasked law enforcement officials to give the maximum punishment to the\nperpetrators.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe strongly condemn the incident, we ask that the perpetrators be\npunished as severely as possible, for life if necessary, so that this\nbecomes a lesson for all of us,\u201d said Gus Ipul.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the Acting Regent of Pati, Risma Ardhi Chandra, expressed\nhis appreciation to the Ministry of Social Affairs for handling the case\nof sexual abuse that occurred at the Ndolo Kusumo Islamic boarding\nschool.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would like to thank the Minister for supporting us in our efforts\nto handle the case at Ndolo Kusumo.
