        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) considers\nthe term \u2018pelaku\u2019 (actor\/perpetrator) for people involved in UMKM to\nhave negative connotations, and therefore it should be replaced with\n\u2018pengusaha\u2019 (entrepreneur) UMKM.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, as directed by the Minister, the term \u2018pelaku usaha\u2019 tends to\nhave connotations towards negative things. Therefore, to encourage UMKM\nentrepreneurs, we are replacing it with \u2018pengusaha\u2019,\u201d said Berry Fauzy,\nHead of the Micro Enterprise Supply Chain Division at the Ministry of\nUMKM, in Tanjung Selor, North Kalimantan, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Berry Fauzy made the remarks before UMKM entrepreneurs while speaking\nat a Targeted Business Meeting organised by the Provincial Government of\nNorth Kalimantan at the Governor\u2019s Office Hall.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, changing the designation to \u2018pengusaha\u2019 will\ncertainly increase the spirit of doing business.<\/p>\n<p>He continued that some people feel that being in UMKM is a matter of\ncompulsion. In fact, UMKM is a choice for doing business.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, whether it is a micro, small, medium or other scale\nenterprise, the Ministry of UMKM is encouraging the use of the name\n\u2018pengusaha UMKM\u2019 so that they can be enthusiastic in carrying out their\nbusiness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are socialising all of this nationally, including in North\nKalimantan at this Targeted Business Meeting attended by UMKM\nentrepreneurs,\u201d said Berry.<\/p>",
