        "content": "<p>Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Romo Muhammad Syafii announced\nthat 6,859 mosques have been prepared to provide services for travellers\nduring the Eid al-Fitr celebrations of 1447 AH. These mosques will serve\nas designated stopping points offering facilities to travellers in need\nof rest during their journey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMosques are indeed places of service,\u201d stated Romo Muhammad Syafii\nin an official statement from the Ministry of Religious Affairs on\nWednesday, 11 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The mosque services form part of a Ministry of Religious Affairs\nprogramme called the Indonesian Mosque Expedition. These thousands of\nmosques will function as rest stops providing various facilities for the\ntravelling public.<\/p>\n<p>The services offered include 24-hour access to mosques and prayer\nrooms, security services, parking areas, healthcare facilities, hygiene\nmaintenance particularly in toilet facilities, and provision of clean\nwater.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, mosques will provide mobile device charging facilities,\nrest areas, information centres, and food services.<\/p>\n<p>In implementation, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is collaborating\nwith Radio Elshinta to disseminate information about service mosque\nlocations and travel conditions to travellers.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesian Mosque Expedition broadcasts via Radio Elshinta will\nrun from eight days before to eight days after Eid. Meanwhile, mosque\nservices for travellers will be available from seven days before to\nseven days after Eid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cElshinta will broadcast from minus eight days to plus eight days,\nwhilst the mosque services will begin minus seven days before Eid and\ncontinue for seven days after Eid,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
