        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2013 The Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) has announced\nthat Islamic higher education institutions will be involved in the\nPilgrim-Friendly Mosque Programme to provide services to the public\nduring the Lebaran homecoming period.<\/p>\n<p>Abu Rokhmad, Director General of Islamic Community Guidance (Bimas)\nat Kemenag, explained that the involvement of campuses would primarily\ncome from state Islamic universities with medical faculties or public\nhealth faculties.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are also coordinating with UIN campuses, particularly those with\nmedical and public health faculties, to actively participate in\nproviding services at mosques located along the homecoming routes,\u201d Abu\nRokhmad said in Jakarta on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond universities, Kemenag is also inviting madrasahs and scout\norganisations to support the services at pilgrim-friendly mosques.<\/p>\n<p>The Pilgrim-Friendly Mosque Programme, he said, represents a\ncollaborative effort between Kemenag and mosque managers situated along\nhomecoming routes to provide comfort for travellers in need of rest\nfacilities.<\/p>\n<p>The mosque managers can also provide travellers with necessary\ninformation, such as the locations of tyre repair services or other\nfacilities in the vicinity of travel routes, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Abu Rokhmad noted that to date, 6,859 mosques have indicated their\nreadiness to participate in the Pilgrim-Friendly Mosque Programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will also select mosques providing the best services to be given\nincentives as a form of appreciation,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
