        "content": "<p>Bandarlampung (ANTARA) - Director of Operational and Maintenance\nDevelopment (OP) of the Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) of\nthe Ministry of Public Works (PU), A Adi Umar Dani, emphasised that the\nMinistry of Public Works has instructed the acceleration of irrigation\ninfrastructure work in Lampung by adding more workers. \u201cI have\ninstructed the addition of manpower so that the repairs can be completed\nmore quickly. Our hope is that within two weeks at the latest, several\nsectors will be finished and can function again,\u201d said Umar Dani during\nan inspection of the hanging irrigation network in Mesuji-Tulang Bawang,\nLampung Province, on Sunday. He stated that this inspection not only\nfocuses on the hanging irrigation network but also involves evaluating\nand repairing water pumps that are not yet performing optimally. \u201cThe\nproblem turns out not to be only in the network but also in the water\npumps that have already been built. We will analyse again what needs to\nbe optimised so that the operational costs of the pumps can be more\nefficient and the benefits for farmers can be more maximal,\u201d he said.\nThe normalisation covers three villages, namely Wono Agung Village and\nBumi Ratu Village in Tulang Bawang, as well as Bandar Anom Village in\nMesuji. Currently, cleaning is being carried out on the primary channel,\nwith the aim of maximising the available water discharge for farmers\u2019\nland,\u201d he said.
