        "content": "<p>The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) has revealed that\nmodular houses can serve as a solution for providing quicker housing\nconstruction at still affordable prices, particularly for post-disaster\nneeds. Director of Land Preparation and Public Infrastructure and\nFacilities of the Ministry of PKP, Indra Gunawan, in Tangerang, Banten,\non Friday, emphasised the importance of collaboration between the\ngovernment, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), and industry\nplayers, so that this concept can be implemented optimally without\nreducing building quality. \u201cWe, together with BNPB, welcome this concept\nto support the target of 5,000 post-disaster housing units in Aceh,\nNorth Sumatra, and West Sumatra. The hope is that the price can be kept\naround Rp100 million per unit, but still with quality suited to\nIndonesian conditions,\u201d said Indra during the soft launching of the\nModular Sample House to support the construction of subsidised houses as\nwell as cheap, fast, and quality disaster recovery houses in Tangerang.\nThis method allows the construction process to proceed far more quickly\ncompared to conventional methods, even able to be completed in about\nthree days (excluding foundation work). Deputy Mayor of Tangerang\nMaryono Hasan added that the modular house concept can be one solution\nin addressing the continuously growing housing needs of the community.\n\u201cFor the post-disaster house concept, I think this is already very good.\nHopefully it can be implemented in Indonesia, especially in the City of\nTangerang,\u201d he said.
