The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, has reaffirmed the government’s
commitment to creating a balance between enhancing corporate performance
and protecting the rights and welfare of workers. This commitment was
stated by Yassierli following the signing of the 11th Collective Labour
Agreement (PKB) between the management of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero)
Tbk and the Telkom Employees’ Union (Sekar) in Jakarta on Monday.

During the event, Yassierli emphasised the importance of synergy
between business actors and workers. He noted that industrial success
must go hand in hand with the improvement of human resource welfare. He
asserted that the government’s principle is that industry must develop
without neglecting the well-being of the workforce.

Furthermore, Yassierli explained that the government bears a
constitutional responsibility to ensure all workers obtain the right to
employment and a decent living. Consequently, labour regulations are
being continuously refined to adapt to economic dynamics while providing
maximum protection for the workforce. Yassierli also encouraged labour
unions to transform their roles to become more strategic, suggesting
that the relationship between management and workers should shift from a
confrontational pattern to a collaborative one to foster innovation in
the workplace.

Through the signing of this 11th Collective Labour Agreement, he
expressed hope that the values of mutual cooperation (gotong royong),
kinship, and deliberation (musyawarah) could serve as the foundation for
modern industrial relations. “The solid collaboration at PT Telkom
Indonesia is expected to serve as a benchmark for other companies facing
the increasingly competitive challenges of the working world,” said
Yassierli.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Telkom Indonesia, Dian
Siswarini, stated that the 11th Collective Labour Agreement serves as a
momentum to restructure governance and compliance within the company.
According to Dian, the agreement also encourages the implementation of a
stronger merit system while ensuring alignment with regulations and
clarifying the boundaries of authority for all parties, including
management, the employees’ union, and the workers.
",
