Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Industry is continuing to\nstrengthen national industrial competitiveness through mentoring\nprogrammes for 24 small and medium enterprise (SME) operators in the\nunmanned aerial vehicle (drone) technology sector.<\/p>\n
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, in a statement in\nJakarta on Monday, said the effort was aimed at driving technological\ntransformation whilst expanding drone utilisation across various\nindustrial sectors.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles through drones has now become an\nextremely important service, used by industries in agriculture,\nplantations, forestry, mining, power generation, and various other\nsectors that can improve production efficiency and field monitoring.\nThis advanced technology can produce accurate mapping,\u201d the Minister\nsaid.<\/p>\n
He explained that drones have been widely used for mapping surveys\nthat provide spatial information, ranging from regional profiles and\ndemographic conditions to area potential assessments.<\/p>\n
The Minister stated that the mentoring is carried out through the\nDirectorate General of Small, Medium and Miscellaneous Industries\n(IKMA), which consistently provides guidance to enhance competitiveness\nand expand market reach for drone technology.<\/p>\n
Director General of IKMA, Reni Yanita, said various development\nprogrammes had been provided, including Startup for Industry (Tech Link\n\u2013 Investment Summit and mentoring) in 2023\u20132024, domestic content\ncertification (TKDN) mentoring in 2024, and SNI ISO 9001 facilitation in\n2024.<\/p>\n
Additionally, drone SMEs have been facilitated to participate in\nvarious international exhibitions and forums, such as Manufacturing\nIndonesia Series 2024, TechPlanter with Japan\u2019s Leave a Nest in 2024,\nGebyar IKMA 2024, and the China-BRICS Science and Innovation Incubation\nPark 2025.<\/p>\n
\u201cA total of 24 small and medium industries operating in drone\ntechnology services are being continuously mentored, both in terms of\nenhancing internal company capacity and opening market access and\nproduct development,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
A number of SMEs mentored by the Ministry of Industry have shown\nsignificant progress. PT Inovasi Solusi Transportasi Indonesia, for\nexample, produces drones under the Frogs Indonesia brand, ranging from\npassenger drones, spray drones, surveillance drones, cargo drones, to\nsurveillance mapper drones that have been deployed across more than 21\nprovinces and 61 regencies and cities.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, PT Karya Solusi Angkasa has developed drones for the\nagricultural sector using carbon composite materials and emergency\nsafety features.<\/p>\n
PT Aerotek Global Inovasi produces Beehive drones capable of\ncollecting accurate analytical data, and used for palm oil pollination\nand firefighting operations.<\/p>\n
