        "content": "<p>Human resource development must not only focus on mastering science\nand skills, but must also be accompanied by the formation of ethics,\nmorals, and an understanding of human rights in accordance with\nPancasila values, said Inspector General of the Ministry of Human Rights\nFarid Junaedi during a human rights socialisation event at the Faculty\nof Social and Political Sciences, Tanjungpura University, Pontianak, on\nMonday. Farid stated that Indonesia has ratified eight international\nconventions related to human rights. Therefore, their implementation\nneeds to be realised through policies, regulations, and development\nprogrammes that favour the protection of people\u2019s rights. \u201cStudents, as\nfuture leaders, must understand human rights from an early age, whether\nin campus life, family, community, or later when they become officials\nor state administrators. An understanding of Pancasila-based human\nrights must become part of their character,\u201d he said. Farid also\nhighlighted the development of digitalisation, which presents both\nopportunities and challenges for the younger generation. According to\nhim, technological progress needs to be balanced with moral education so\nas not to erode human values. \u201cDigitalisation cannot be avoided.\nTherefore, society must be able to utilise it wisely. Technology can\nbroaden horizons and accelerate access to knowledge, but it still needs\ncontrol and guidance so as not to diminish human values,\u201d he said.\nMeanwhile, Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Human Rights\nfor Central Kalimantan with a working area covering West Kalimantan,\nKristiana M. Samosir, said the activity aims to improve human rights\nliteracy among students so that an understanding of rights and\nobligations can be applied comprehensively. \u201cWe hope that through this\nactivity, a young generation will emerge that is capable of becoming\npioneers in spreading human rights values and becoming role models in\ncommunity life,\u201d she said. The Chairman of the Social Development\nStudent Association at FISIP Tanjungpura University, Azie Mardianto,\nwelcomed the collaboration between the university and the Ministry of\nHuman Rights. According to him, students have a strategic role in\nconveying a correct understanding of social issues within society. The\nDean of FISIP Tanjungpura University, Herlan, assessed that the\nsocialisation is important for enhancing students\u2019 critical thinking\nwhile broadening their understanding of human rights issues. He also\nsupports strengthening cooperation with various government institutions\nto increase the capacity of students as an intellectual generation\ncontributing to national development.<\/p>",
