        "content": "<p>Balinese artists play a significant role in supporting tourism and\nhelping generate foreign exchange revenue for the nation.<\/p>\n<p>Denpasar (ANTARA) \u2013 The Ministry of Housing and Settlement\nDevelopment (PKP) plans to construct an apartment complex (rusun) for\nlow-income residents (MBR) in Denpasar, Bali, with a budget of IDR 48\nbillion sourced from the state budget.<\/p>\n<p>The apartment construction represents one of the government\u2019s efforts\nto provide adequate and affordable housing for low-income residents in\nurban areas that face land limitations.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Housing and Settlement Development Maruarar Sirait stated\nin Denpasar on Monday that the apartment complex is planned to have 60\nresidential units equipped with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a\nbathroom.<\/p>\n<p>According to the minister, one priority group for apartment residency\ncomprises low-income residents working as artists in Bali.<\/p>\n<p>Sirait values Balinese artists as having an important role in\nsupporting the tourism sector, which has long been a key driver of both\nregional and national economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBalinese artists play a significant role in supporting tourism and\nhelping generate foreign exchange revenue for the nation. Because of\nthis, I also propose that this apartment complex can be allocated for\nlow-income residents who work as artists,\u201d said Sirait.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, he emphasised that the apartment design should maintain\nBalinese cultural elements to align with the character and local wisdom\nof the local community.<\/p>\n<p>Sirait also inspected the proposed location for the low-income\napartment complex on Jalan Raya Sesetan, in Sesetan Village, South\nDenpasar District, Denpasar City.<\/p>\n<p>On a plot of approximately 3,328 square metres, measuring around 26\nby 128 metres, one tower of Rusun Arunika type-36 apartments is planned\nwith a maximum height of four storeys.<\/p>\n<p>The apartment complex will provide 60 residential units consisting of\ntwo units for persons with disabilities and 58 regular units for\nlow-income residents.<\/p>\n<p>Sirait added that the construction of vertical housing serves as a\nsolution to address land limitations in major cities such as Denpasar,\nenabling low-income residents to have access to adequate and affordable\nhousing.<\/p>\n<p>He hopes that construction of the apartment complex can begin soon\nwhilst adhering to all applicable regulations and requirements to ensure\norderly implementation that benefits the community.<\/p>",
