        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and\nTechnology (Kemdiktisaintek) is utilising micro-credentials as a vital\ninstrument to strengthen the relevance of higher education within the\ndynamics of the working world.<\/p>\n<p>Beny Bandanadjaja, Director of Learning and Students (Belmawa) at\nKemdiktisaintek, assessed that in addition to diplomas and academic\nqualifications, micro-credentials have become highly significant. \u201cIn\nthis context, micro-credentials serve as an important instrument to\nreinforce the relevance of higher education,\u201d he stated during the\nSocialisation of the Micro-credential Guidelines in Jakarta on\nThursday.<\/p>\n<p>Consequently, Beny is encouraging universities to continuously\ninnovate by providing a learning ecosystem that is increasingly\nflexible, adaptive, and responsive to rapid global developments. Through\nthe micro-credential scheme, students are given the freedom to undertake\nmore concise learning units focused on mastering specific\ncompetencies.<\/p>\n<p>To support this transformative step, Kemdiktisaintek has formulated\nthe \u2018Guidebook for the Implementation of Micro-credentials in Higher\nEducation\u2019 as a standardised primary reference. This guidebook has been\ndesigned to align the perceptions of all campus leaders regarding\ngovernance, quality assurance, and appropriate reporting mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThus, micro-credentials are not viewed merely as a form of\nshort-term learning, but as part of a higher education ecosystem that\nmaintains quality standards, clear learning outcomes, and strong\nrelevance to the needs of the professional world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to improving managerial aspects, Beny also urged\nuniversities to strengthen collaborations with the business sector,\nindustry, and professional associations when designing learning\noutcomes. Through solid synergy between academic theory on campus and\nreal-world field requirements, Kemdiktisaintek is optimistic that\nsuperior and competent human resources can be created to welcome\n\u2018Indonesia Emas 2045\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMicro-credentials are one of the efforts to realise higher education\nthat is flexible, relevant, high-quality, and impactful,\u201d concluded Beny\nBandanadjaja.<\/p>",
