        "content": "<p>Ministry of Health gets WHO award<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The Ministry of Health has received an award from the<br>\nWorld Health Organization (WHO) for its efforts in dealing with<br>\nthe Dec. 26 tsunami that devastated Aceh province.<\/p>\n<p>WHO regional director for Southeast Asia Samlee Plianbangchang<br>\npraised the Ministry's response to the disaster that successfully<br>\novercome formidable challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\"The absence of any disease outbreaks reflects the concerted<br>\nefforts by the government, the health and related sectors as well<br>\nas by development partners, United Nations agencies and non-<br>\ngovernmental organizations,\" Samlee told the award ceremony at<br>\nthe ministry on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Health Siti Fadilah Supari said it was an honor to<br>\nbe recognized, particularly because her office was criticized for<br>\nlacking coordination.<\/p>\n<p>\"The health system in Aceh has not yet fully recovered, but<br>\nit's getting better,\" she said. -- JP<\/p>",
