        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) of\nthe Republic of Indonesia has ensured that the proxy Hajj rights for all\nHajj pilgrims who passed away in the Holy Land will be fulfilled.\nMinistry spokesperson Maria Assegaff stated that a total of seven\npilgrims have died, most due to heart attacks and pneumonia. \u201cThe Hajj\nOrganising Committee (PPIH) ensures that all deceased pilgrims will\nreceive their proxy Hajj rights. Our best prayers are offered so that\nall the late pilgrims attain a good end,\u201d Maria said in her statement on\nMonday (4\/5\/2026). Maria advised pilgrims to increase vigilance\nregarding their health conditions amid the weather in Mecca, which is\nexpected to reach 43 degrees Celsius. If experiencing health issues,\npilgrims should immediately report to the on-duty officers at the\nlocation. \u201cHajj officers are also on standby to provide assistance\nwhenever pilgrims face challenges in the field,\u201d Maria added. Maria\nemphasised that the government is giving special attention to vulnerable\ngroups, including the elderly, disabled individuals, and women during\nthe 2026 Hajj implementation. \u201cWe are providing various service\nconveniences, including the Bus Sholawat which operates 24 hours with a\nfleet friendly to the elderly and disabled,\u201d she added.
