        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Director of Applications at the Ministry of\nCreative Economy, Tri Wahyudi, stated that human resources capable of\nusing artificial intelligence or AI in their productivity can break the\ntechnology gap, which is a challenge in enhancing the global\ncompetitiveness of Indonesia\u2019s human resources.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the global level is already using AI, it means we need talent\nand the ability of our developers to learn AI, and of course, this will\ncreate new job opportunities, and we will also improve global\ncompetitiveness,\u201d said Tri during a discussion at the launch of the\nBadan Ekraf Digital Talent (BDT) 2026 programme in Jakarta on\nTuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Tri said that based on PwC data, artificial intelligence has provided\nbenefits to its users in increasing productivity by 96 per cent, with\nactive users being Gen Z.<\/p>\n<p>As many as 28 per cent of companies have employed 18 million people\nskilled in AI technology, but still 57 per cent of companies assess that\nthey lack talent or human resources with the ability to operate AI\ntechnology.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe biggest risk if our talent does not adapt to AI is that they\nwill certainly lose competitiveness in creativity and innovation, and we\nwill only become a user country that uses foreign technology; we cannot\nimprove our capabilities, and of course, the technology gap will become\neven wider,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Tri stated that to address the need for digital talent capable of\nutilising AI, the Ministry of Creative Economy is facilitating the Badan\nEkraf Digital Talent (BDT) 2026 programme, which will increase\nproductivity and efficiency with AI-based technology, improve the\nquality of works, and enhance the digital adaptability of creative\neconomy actors.<\/p>\n<p>By expanding the reach of AI-related education, it is hoped that the\nBDT programme can be utilised by creative economy actors to have\nstandards that can compete at the global level and prepare more adaptive\ndigital talent quality, so that productivity from the national\napplications subsector can compete in the international world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, besides expanding job opportunities, they will also\nbecome more competitive and not just users but can also access markets\nthat impact Indonesian products,\u201d said Tri.<\/p>",
