        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education\n(Kemendikdasmen) has emphasised the importance of strengthening\ncharacter and a culture of safety in school environments on the first\nday of learning after the long holiday for the Sacred Day of Nyepi and\nEid al-Fitr 1447 H\/2026.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary General of Kemendikdasmen, Suharti, conveyed this emphasis\nwhile acting as the flag-raising ceremony instructor at SD Kramat Pela\n07, South Jakarta, on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>This first day back at school provides an opportunity for\nKemendikdasmen to reignite the enthusiasm of learners across Indonesia\nto continue cultivating harmony with peers, implementing the 7 Habits of\nGreat Indonesian Children (KAIH), as well as consistently applying the\nASRI Indonesia Movement and the PP Tunas policy.<\/p>\n<p>According to her, a safe and comfortable school environment, as\nembodied in the ASRI philosophy, serves as the primary foundation for\nthe growth and development of learners.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSchool culture must be built with a spirit of mutual respect, mutual\nprotection, and upholding tolerance. There should be no more bullying or\nviolence in the school environment,\u201d said Suharti.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasised the importance of instilling healthy living habits\nthrough nutritious food consumption, regular exercise, and maintaining a\nsmoke-free environment.<\/p>\n<p>Her side also encourages learners to maintain cleanliness by\ndisposing of and sorting waste, as well as being active in duty rosters\nand community work activities.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Suharti reminded the importance of creating a beautiful,\nneat, and orderly school environment, as well as maintaining school\nfacilities to keep them green and sustainable.<\/p>\n<p>She affirmed the five main attitudes that Indonesian students must\npossess: faith and piety to the Almighty God, respecting parents and\nteachers, diligent learning, harmony with friends, and loving the\nhomeland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreat change begins with small habits performed consistently.\nTherefore, the seven habits of Great Indonesian Children must continue\nto be applied in daily life,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, Suharti stated that since 28 March 2026, the\ngovernment has begun implementing a policy restricting age access to\nhigh-risk digital platforms through Government Regulation Number 17 of\n2025 on the Governance of Electronic System Operators in Child\nProtection (PP Tunas).<\/p>\n<p>She urged learners to use gadgets wisely with the 3S principle,\nnamely limiting usage time (screen time), using in the appropriate place\n(screen zone), and providing rest breaks (screen break).<\/p>",
