        "content": "<p>The Directorate General for the Development of the Hajj and Umrah\nEconomic Ecosystem (Ditjen PE2HU) of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has\nassured that the production and distribution of spices and ready-to-eat\n(RTE) meals for the 2026 Hajj organisation are proceeding as\nplanned.<\/p>\n<p>This assurance was conveyed during a coordination meeting with spice\nand RTE suppliers in Jakarta on Tuesday (31\/3). The meeting forms part\nof anticipatory measures to ensure all pilgrim consumption needs are met\nahead of Hajj operations.<\/p>\n<p>Director of Partnership Facilitation for PE2HU, Tri Hidayatno, stated\nthat his side continues to oversee the entire supply chain, from\nproduction processes to distribution in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur focus is on ensuring that spice and RTE production is ready,\ndistribution reaches the kitchens on target, and all potential shipping\nobstacles are mitigated from the outset,\u201d said Tri.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the spice needs for this Hajj season are estimated\nat 360 tonnes. This amount covers 28 types of spices for the Mecca\nregion and 23 types for Medina, adjusted to the service duration in each\narea.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the provision of ready-to-eat meals is being carried out\non a large scale, following the total operational days for pilgrim\nconsumption services.<\/p>\n<p>On the distribution side, some shipments have already been made, and\nsome have even arrived in Jeddah. Meanwhile, other shipments are still\nin process and are targeted to be completed no later than 10 April 2026,\nbefore the arrival of Hajj officials in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe ensure that all these needs arrive on time. If there are shipping\nobstacles, we immediately prepare alternative options so as not to\ndisrupt pilgrim services,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n<p>Not only ensuring smooth distribution, Ditjen PE2HU will also conduct\nsupervision of spice usage in catering kitchens. This effort aims for\nthe sent materials to be utilised optimally and to serve as evaluation\nmaterial for improving service quality in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the readiness of production and distribution of spices and\nRTE for Hajj 2026 is deemed to be on the planned track, in line with the\nMinistry of Hajj and Umrah\u2019s commitment to maintaining the quality of\nconsumption services for Indonesian pilgrims.<\/p>",
