        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - A number of ministries in President Prabowo\nSubianto\u2019s Red and White Cabinet have submitted requests for additional\nbudget allocations for the 2027 fiscal year during preliminary work plan\nand budget discussions with the House of Representatives (DPR).<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita requested an\nadditional Rp1.59 trillion for his ministry, on top of the indicative\nceiling of Rp2.04 trillion, bringing the total proposed budget to Rp3.6\ntrillion. The extra funds are intended for restructuring industrial\nmachinery, strengthening small and medium industries, downstreaming\nnatural resources, vocational education, and developing industrial\ninformation systems. \u201cWe are proposing an additional budget of Rp1.59\ntrillion to strengthen the implementation of priority programmes that\ndirectly impact productivity, competitiveness, downstreaming,\nstrengthening of small and medium industries, industrial human resource\ndevelopment, and national industrial transformation,\u201d he stated during a\nworking meeting with House Commission VII.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman requested an additional\nRp22.43 trillion, on top of the indicative ceiling of Rp23.23 trillion.\nThe additional budget would be used to meet targets for strategic food\ncommodities including rice, corn, soybeans, palm oil, sugarcane, coffee,\ncoconut, cocoa, nutmeg, pepper, milk, eggs, and meat. Amran explained\nthat the ministry\u2019s priority programme design for 2027 is directed at\nsupporting the food sovereignty cluster, one of eight national priority\nprogramme clusters. He also requested an additional Rp17.73 trillion for\nthe National Food Agency, far exceeding its indicative ceiling of\nRp110.3 billion, to support national food development targets and\nvarious government programmes.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono requested an additional\nRp1.34 trillion, compared to an indicative ceiling of Rp542.88 billion.\nThe funds would accelerate the operationalisation of more than 80,000\nRed and White Village Cooperatives and support broader cooperative\ndevelopment nationwide. \u201cGiven the magnitude of the challenges and the\nbroad scope of the programmes mandated to the Ministry of Cooperatives,\nwe propose an additional budget of Rp1.34 trillion for 2027,\u201d Ferry\nexplained.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono\nrequested an additional Rp30 trillion, on top of an indicative ceiling\nof Rp15.63 trillion. The funds are needed to expedite various government\npriority programmes, including the construction of Red and White Fishing\nVillages, revitalisation of fish ponds, and empowerment of coastal\ncommunities.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso has not yet confirmed any\nadditional budget request, noting that the indicative ceiling for 2027\ncould potentially be lower than the previous year\u2019s allocation. He\nemphasised that discussions are still ongoing and the figures are not\nyet final.<\/p>\n<p>The list of ministries requesting additional budget for the 2027\nfiscal year includes: Ministry of Industry (additional Rp1.59 trillion),\nMinistry of Agriculture (additional Rp22.43 trillion), Ministry of\nCooperatives (additional Rp1.35 trillion), Ministry of Marine Affairs\nand Fisheries (additional Rp30 trillion), Ministry of Micro, Small and\nMedium Enterprises (additional Rp1.52 trillion), Ministry of Religious\nAffairs (additional Rp27.9 trillion), Ministry of Defence (additional\nRp195 trillion), Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial\nPlanning\/National Land Agency (additional Rp3.23 trillion), Ministry of\nSocial Affairs (additional Rp22.49 trillion), and Ministry of Home\nAffairs (additional Rp6.27 trillion).<\/p>",
