        "content": "<p>The Minister of Transport, Dudy Purwaghandi, has revealed that the\nTransit Oriented Development (TOD) area at Sudirman Station, currently\nnicknamed the \u2018donut\u2019, is targeted for completion by 2028. The area will\nserve as a hub connecting six mass transport modes in Jakarta, namely\nthe Commuter Line (KRL), LRT Jabodebek, LRT Jakarta, MRT, TransJakarta,\nand the Airport Rail Link.<\/p>\n<p>According to Dudy, the project will be carried out entirely by PT MRT\nJakarta in collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegarding the Sudirman Station TOD, the \u2018donut\u2019 TOD is expected to\nbe completed in 2028. This will be fully managed by MRT Jakarta and the\nJakarta Provincial Government. Within this TOD, we will see the\nconnectivity of six Jakarta transport modes,\u201d Dudy stated during a media\nbriefing in Jakarta on Friday (26\/06\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the existence of this hub will strengthen\nintermodal connectivity, allowing the public to switch between modes of\ntransport more easily within a single integrated area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith six modes available, it is hoped that Jakarta will be connected\neven more extensively,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Dudy noted that the government has not yet assigned an official name\nto the transit area. For the time being, the project is referred to as\nthe \u2018donut\u2019 due to its conceptual shape.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe haven\u2019t given it a name yet; for now, we call it the donut.\nPerhaps it will be known as the Donut TOD or Donut Hub, which will\nconnect all regions and all our trains (and TransJakarta) within the\nJakarta area. This way, the public can access all parts of DKI Jakarta\nwith ease,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed hope that the presence of this transport hub would serve\nas a centre for integrated public transport services in the capital,\nwhile simultaneously facilitating public mobility across various parts\nof Jakarta through a connected mass transit network.<\/p>",
