        "content": "<p>By integrating biometric-based population data with various\nministries and government agencies, the government aims to ensure that\nsocial assistance reaches those who are genuinely eligible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this system, we can identify more precisely and accurately who\nis eligible to receive social assistance and who is not,\u201d he said in a\nstatement received here on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The minister made the remarks while addressing officials of the Biak\nNumfor District Government at the BN1 State Building in Biak Numfor\nDistrict, Papua, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Karnavian explained that data updating efforts are focused on people\nin the first to fourth income deciles, or the poorest 40 percent of\nhouseholds.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the use of technology and data integration is a key\ninstrument for improving the accuracy of social protection programs\nwhile minimizing potential errors in the distribution of assistance.<\/p>\n<p>He said that Biak Numfor is among the priority regions for expanding\nthe e-government implementation ahead of Indonesia\u2019s Independence Day\ncommemoration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBefore August 17, the President has asked us to add another 100\n(regions), if possible.
