Pigai stated that all citizens, without\nexception, must respect court rulings that have permanent legal force.\nThis statement responds to the conviction of four Indonesian Military\nsoldiers proven to have carried out an acid attack on the activist. \u201cAs\ngood citizens, the court has ruled and the law regulates it, so everyone\nmust obey the law obediently,\u201d Pigai said at the Parliament Complex in\nJakarta on Wednesday (17\/6\/2026). He added that a legal ruling should\nnot be confronted subjectively. \u201cIt has been sentenced, right? If it has\nbeen sentenced, we as citizens cannot oppose the court\u2019s decision,\u201d he\nasserted.
