        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Yassierli has\nstressed that the expansion of social security must be able to reach\nworkers in the informal sector, including domestic workers, online\nmotorcycle drivers, couriers, as well as workers in fisheries and\nplantations.<\/p>\n<p>In his statement in Jakarta on Friday, Menaker Yassierli said that\nsocial protection is the right of every worker and must be accessible\nwithout exception.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur main spirit is that every citizen has the right to decent work\nand livelihood. This forms the basis of every policy,\u201d Yassierli\nstated.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, he conveyed that the current challenge is to ensure that\ninformal sector workers can enter the social security scheme, which has\nso far been more utilised by formal workers.<\/p>\n<p>To that end, he continued, the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) is\nalso pushing for the strengthening of regulations for workers in the\ndigital economy sector and other vulnerable groups so that they receive\nsocial security protection as part of the employer\u2019s responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, domestic workers are also being encouraged to enter the\nnational social security system through strengthened regulations, so\nthat they are recognised as workers and obtain protection rights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBPJS Ketenagakerjaan is not just an insurance institution.
