        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources\n(ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, has assured that Indonesia\u2019s national energy\nreserves, from petroleum products (BBM) to crude oil stocks, are above\nthe national minimum standards. \u201cI am reporting on the development of\nour national energy. From the perspective of BBM products, both diesel\nand petrol, from all aspects, alhamdulillah, everything is above the\nnational minimum standard,\u201d Bahlil stated after a limited meeting with\nPresident Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on\nMonday. Bahlil explained that Indonesia\u2019s energy resilience remains\nstable despite facing geopolitical pressures in the Middle East region.\nAccording to him, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz over the past\ntwo months has not significantly disrupted domestic supplies. \u201cSo\nalhamdulillah, it has been almost two months since the geopolitical\nincident in the Middle East regarding the Strait of Hormuz, and we are\nstill stable,\u201d he added. In addition to BBM products, crude oil stocks\nfor refineries are also reported to be in a safe condition. Bahlil\nmentioned that the availability of these stocks faces no significant\nobstacles as they remain above the determined minimum threshold.\nRegarding LPG consumption, the Minister of ESDM reported that the\ngovernment is seeking alternative measures to substitute imports.\nCurrently, national LPG consumption reaches 8.6 million tonnes per year,\nbut domestic production is only around 1.6 to 1.7 million tonnes. Bahlil\nrevealed that Indonesia still imports approximately 7 million tonnes of\nLPG annually since the kerosene conversion policy was implemented. He\nacknowledged that limitations in C3 (propane) and C4 (butane) raw\nmaterials are the main challenges in developing the domestic LPG\nindustry. \u201cAnd I also reported that for LPG, we are constantly\nbrainstorming. Almost every night we don\u2019t rest; we are studying sources\nof LPG,\u201d Bahlil stated. As a long-term solution, the government is\nconsidering several alternatives, including converting low-calorie coal\ninto Dimethyl Ether (DME).
