Purwokerto (ANTARA) - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education\n(Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu\u2019ti has assured that the revitalisation and\ndigitalisation programme for educational units will continue in 2026 to\nenhance the quality of learning evenly across Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cCongratulations to the schools receiving revitalisation assistance\nand interactive digital panels in 2025. We entrust that all facilities\nare utilised properly to improve education quality,\u201d he said during the\ninauguration of educational unit revitalisation across Banyumas Regency\nat Pendopo Si Panji, Purwokerto, Banyumas, Central Java, on\nSaturday.<\/p>\n
He stated that the programme is part of the government\u2019s priorities\nin realising quality education for all, while supporting improvements in\nlearning quality through technology utilisation.<\/p>\n
According to him, the government has allocated a Rp14 trillion budget\nfor revitalisation in 2026, covering 11,744 educational units throughout\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the government is proposing additional funding to\nexpand the revitalisation programme to 60,000 educational units.<\/p>\n
To support digitalisation, the government also plans to increase\ninteractive flat panel (IFP) devices in 2026 to two or three units per\neducational unit, up from previous allocations.<\/p>\n
An Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) is a large, high-resolution (4K)\ntouchscreen that functions as a digital whiteboard, projector, and\nall-in-one computer. This device allows users to write, collaborate, and\nshare screens wirelessly, often used in modern classrooms and\ninteractive meetings.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the number of recipients of the Indonesia Pintar\nProgramme (PIP) will be increased to around 19.6 million students from\nprimary to high school levels.<\/p>\n
For the first time, PIP assistance will be provided to around 888,000\nkindergarten students.<\/p>\n
The government is also raising incentives for honorary teachers from\nRp300,000 to Rp400,000 per month, disbursed directly to recipients as\npart of efforts to improve educator welfare.<\/p>\n
Mendikdasmen emphasised that these various policies demonstrate the\ngovernment\u2019s commitment to strengthening education services, while\nrefuting notions of education budget cuts.<\/p>\n
Further, he stressed the importance of fostering a safe, healthy,\nclean, and comfortable school culture through a humanistic and\nparticipatory approach.<\/p>\n
He also highlighted the negative impacts of excessive digital\ntechnology use on children, such as decreased concentration and\nincreased risks of mental health disorders.<\/p>\n
Therefore, the government is encouraging restrictions on social media\nuse for children under 16 years old and strengthening digital literacy\nin educational environments.<\/p>\n
According to him, improving education quality is not only achieved\nthrough providing facilities and infrastructure but also through\ncharacter building and implementing deep learning.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are currently awaiting approval from the Ministry of Finance\nregarding the proposed additional spending budget to expand the\nrevitalisation coverage,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Hundreds of proposals<\/p>\n
In a separate opportunity, Acting Head of the Banyumas Regency\nEducation Office (Dindik) Amrin Ma\u2019ruf said that his side has proposed\n140 educational units through the regular scheme based on basic\neducation data (Dapodik).<\/p>\n
Additionally, Banyumas has received revitalisation allocations for 12\ndisaster-affected educational units, some of which have entered the\ncooperation agreement stage and will begin construction this year.<\/p>\n
He said the total need for repairs in Banyumas reaches around 165\neducational units in moderate to severe condition, particularly at\nprimary and junior secondary levels.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, he said, all educational units in Banyumas have\nreceived digital device assistance in the form of IFPs.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll schools, both public and private from kindergarten to junior\nsecondary, have received IFPs, one unit each complete with supporting\nlearning devices,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
