INDOPOLITIKA – Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises
(MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman revealed that the support program for MSMEs
affected by the disaster is showing positive progress.

Minister of MSMEs Maman Abdurrahman affirmed that several recovery
measures implemented by the government have encouraged increased
business transactions in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra following
the disaster that occurred at the end of November 2025.

“The Ministry of MSMEs continues to encourage economic activity in
Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra so that MSME entrepreneurs can
quickly recover and become productive again,” said Minister of MSMEs
Maman Abdurrahman while attending the Coordination Meeting of the
Sumatra Post-Disaster Recovery Task Force together with DPR RI leaders
at the MPR/DPR/DPD RI Building Complex, Jakarta.

As part of the assignment of the Task Force for Accelerating
Rehabilitation and Reconstruction after the Sumatra Disaster, the
Ministry of MSMEs launched the Bangkit MSME Clinic service. This service
is designed to provide comprehensive assistance, ranging from access to
finance, production support, to marketing facilitation for MSME
entrepreneurs affected by the disaster.

Minister Maman said that the Ministry of MSMEs is collaborating with
digital platforms such as Shopee, Tokopedia, TikTok Shop, and Lazada to
open special shopping channels for products from MSME entrepreneurs from
the three affected provinces.

Since its launch in mid-January 2026, sales have increased by 27.5%.
As of February 11, 2026, 3.5 million transactions have been recorded for
2,128 product items from 2,059 MSME entrepreneurs. The most popular
products include clothing, food, handicrafts, and beauty products.

Transactions in North Sumatra reached 1.35 million and West Sumatra 2
million, indicating that business conditions in the two provinces have
relatively recovered.

Meanwhile, transactions in Aceh were recorded at 16.8 thousand,
indicating that some MSME entrepreneurs have started to resume
production, although they still face operational constraints.

Minister Maman also emphasized that MSME entrepreneurs who have
access to banking are receiving easier financing, while those who have
not yet been reached by banking services are receiving special attention
so that they are not left behind in the recovery process. This approach
is taken to ensure that economic recovery is inclusive and reaches all
layers of micro and small businesses.

Based on a joint mapping conducted by BSI, BRI, Mandiri, BNI, BPD
Aceh, and Pegadaian as of February 17, 2026, 201,953 MSME entrepreneurs
who are debtors of the People’s Business Credit (KUR) were affected by
the disaster in the three provinces, with a total outstanding of IDR
12.19 trillion.

The details include 125.2 thousand MSME entrepreneurs in Aceh with an
outstanding of IDR 7.38 trillion, 53.2 thousand MSME entrepreneurs in
North Sumatra with an outstanding of IDR 3.06 trillion, and 28.4
thousand MSME entrepreneurs in West Sumatra with an outstanding of IDR
1.79 trillion.

These debtors received various financing facilities, including
interest rate reductions, a grace period, adjustments to the
collectibility status, loan restructuring, relaxation of additional
collateral, easier access to new KUR, and even proposals for credit
write-offs in accordance with the provisions of Presidential Decree
Number 2 of 2026.

This policy is expected to provide breathing room for MSME
entrepreneurs to reorganize their businesses without being burdened by
short-term financial obligations.

In addition to the restructuring scheme, the Ministry of MSMEs is
also preparing a Presidential Assistance (BanPres) for Micro Business
Rehabilitation for MSME entrepreneurs who do not have access to
banking.

The working capital assistance of IDR 3 million per recipient is
planned to be provided to 200,000 micro-enterprises affected by the
disaster. This program is implemented through coordination with the
Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of State Secretary, Bappenas, and
local governments.

“MSME entrepreneurs who do not have access to banking need to receive
special attention so that the economy continues to move and recovery
takes place evenly,” said Minister Maman.

To support business sustainability, the Ministry of MSMEs is also
distributing production assistance to reactivate restaurants, cafes,
stalls, and shops in the affected areas.

The activation of grocery stores and stalls continues through
collaboration with local agencies and the private sector, including
optimizing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, especially in
Aceh. This effort reflects the spirit of mutual cooperation in
accelerating economic recovery in the community. (Red)
",
