Irfan Yusuf, also known as Gus\nIrfan, has revealed the possibility of an increase in the Hajj\nOrganising Cost (BPIH) for 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Gus Irfan stated that this potential rise is inseparable from the\ngeopolitical dynamics in the Gulf region, specifically the rising price\nof aviation fuel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is likely to increase,\u201d said Gus Irfan at the Presidential Palace\nin Jakarta on Monday (28\/9).<\/p>\n<p>Gus Irfan has not yet provided a detailed estimate regarding the\nscale of the increase in Hajj costs for next year. He did, however,\nconfirm that the government will strive to find solutions to ensure this\nsituation does not become a burden for prospective pilgrims.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we will endeavour to find a way; that is why I requested\nguidance from the President on how we can avoid placing too much of a\nburden on the pilgrims,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Gus Irfran acknowledged that President Prabowo\nSubianto has expressed a desire to see a reduction in Hajj costs.\nHowever, he emphasised that this intention was formulated before the\noutbreak of conflicts in the Gulf region, which have led to skyrocketing\nglobal crude oil prices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, he requested a decrease because, previously, there was no\nextraordinary geopolitical situation in the Middle East.
