        "content": "<p>Minister decries inefficiency<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: State Minister for Administrative Reform Feisal Tamin<br>\nsaid on Thursday that continuing inefficiency in state<br>\ndepartments and offices was the result of a lack of oversight.<\/p>\n<p>He said that supervision in each state department or office<br>\nwas the responsibility of the department or office head and<br>\ninspector general.<\/p>\n<p>\"The Ministry of State Administrative Reform only coordinates<br>\nthe supervision,\" Feisal told a hearing with House of<br>\nRepresentatives Commission II for law and home affairs here.<\/p>\n<p>He was commenting on criticism against long-standing<br>\ninefficiency and the failure to follow up on the findings of the<br>\nSupreme Board (BPK) and the Development Finance Comptroller<br>\n(BPKP).<\/p>\n<p>BPK and BPKP findings show that irregularities in the various<br>\nstate institutions have cost the state Rp 388 billion and Rp 1.9<br>\ntrillion respectively. -- JP<\/p>",
