        "content": "<p>Minister of Women\u2019s Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA) Arifah\nFauzi has called on women to play an active role in the government\u2019s\nefforts to maintain safe educational environments, particularly in\nfaith-based institutions, and to reinforce the family\u2019s defensive\nbarrier against all forms of violence. \u201cCurrently, faith-based\neducational institutions are facing significant challenges due to the\nnumber of individuals committing acts of violence, including sexual\nviolence. This situation has the potential to create a stigma against\nfaith-based educational institutions in general,\u201d she said in a\nstatement in Jakarta on Sunday. She therefore expressed hope that women\nwould participate in restoring faith-based educational institutions as\nthe best places to educate children. \u201cWe have signed a cooperation\nagreement with several ministries on how to build safe educational and\nfamily environments for women and children. The Ministry of PPPA,\ntogether with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of\nPrimary and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen), is working on several\nmeasures, such as standard operating procedures and so forth,\u201d she said.\nThe PPPA Minister reminded that crimes against children often occur\nbecause of opportunity. Parental negligence in providing education and\nsupervision can create a gap for perpetrators. Therefore, understanding\nof bodily rights and safe spaces must be taught to children from an\nearly age. \u201cIf our child is touched by anyone and remains silent, it is\nhighly likely because they do not know that part of the body should not\nbe touched. Children need to be given the understanding that there are\nparts of the body that others are not allowed to touch,\u201d she said. On\nthe same occasion, Deputy Chairwoman II of Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama\n(NU), Romlah Widiyati, explained seven principles taught by Islam as the\nfoundation for the common good: hifzhul \u2019aql (preservation of\nintellect), hifzhun nafs (preservation of life), hifzhun nasl\n(preservation of progeny), hifzhul \u2019irdh (preservation of honour),\nhifzhud diin (preservation of religion), hifzhul maal (preservation of\nwealth), and hifzhul bi\u2019ah (preservation of the environment). Romlah\nstated that implementing these values plays a crucial role in creating a\nsafe, harmonious, and religious social order, including within the scope\nof family resilience. \u201cAll these religious commands are so that the\nbalance in this world can function properly. We believe that if a\nnation, its people, and its society carry out good deeds, then Allah\nwill surely bestow blessings from the heavens,\u201d she said.<\/p>",
