        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 Indonesia\u2019s Minister for Women Empowerment and Child\nProtection Arifah Fauzi has stressed the importance of ensuring digital\ntechnology and artificial intelligence (AI) are utilised safely and\nresponsibly for children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChildren today face various challenges in the digital world, ranging\nfrom exposure to negative content to the risk of cyber violence.\nTherefore, with proper oversight and guidance, digital technology and AI\ncan become effective learning tools whilst supporting children\u2019s optimal\ngrowth and development,\u201d she said in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The government is encouraging all parties to work together to ensure\nIndonesian children can utilise technology positively for a better\nfuture.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry supports the establishment of a Joint Ministerial\nDecision (SKB) from Seven Ministers on Guidelines for the Utilisation\nand Learning of Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence in\nFormal, Non-formal, and Informal Education.<\/p>\n<p>Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno\nemphasised that the Seven Ministers\u2019 SKB represents a collective\ngovernment effort to ensure digital technology and AI are utilised\nwisely and support educational quality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis seven-minister decree addresses guidelines for digital\ntechnology and AI use across formal, non-formal, and informal education.\nDigital technology and AI are developments that cannot be avoided.\nTherefore, the government does not intend to restrict technological\nprogress, but rather to regulate it so it can be utilised optimally\nwhilst minimising various risks that may emerge, particularly for\nchildren and adolescents,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
