        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian Mining Association (API-IMA) has\nstressed the need for clarity in the transition process of strategic\nnatural resources (SDA) export governance policies.<\/p>\n<p>This follows the establishment of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia\n(DSI), a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) specifically for strategic SDA\nexports.<\/p>\n<p>API-IMA Executive Director Sari Esayanti said clearer guidelines are\nrequired to ensure business negotiations proceed smoothly and market\nstability is maintained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClarity is needed so that critical business negotiations can\ncontinue for company sustainability and market stability,\u201d Esayanti\nstated, quoted on Tuesday (26 May 2026).<\/p>\n<p>The association also highlighted the importance of respecting\nexisting long-term contracts, including short-term sales agreements.<\/p>\n<p>API-IMA emphasised that industry players heavily rely on clear and\nconsistent contracts to sustain businesses and protect investments\nmade.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that in the initial phase, commodities managed by\nPT DSI will include crude palm oil (CPO), coal, and iron alloys (ferrous\nalloy).<\/p>\n<p>As a specialised export BUMN, PT DSI will operate in two phases.\nFirst, the company will act as an intermediary between domestic\nexporters and foreign buyers.<\/p>\n<p>The single-window export system will commence on 1 June 2026 as the\ninitial phase, fully implemented by 1 January 2027.<\/p>",
