        "content": "<p>Several mining companies have responded to the government\u2019s\nsingle-channel export policy through state-owned enterprise PT Danantara\nSumberdaya Indonesia (DSI), which will be implemented gradually from 1\nJune 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) corporate secretary Jenny Quantero stated\nthe company respects and supports the government\u2019s move to strengthen\nnatural resource governance. \u2018At present, we are still studying and\nconducting a comprehensive assessment of the policy to fully understand\nits implementation mechanism,\u2019 she said in a disclosure to the Indonesia\nStock Exchange on 29 May 2026. Quantero added that the coal mining firm\nhas no immediate corporate action plans but will regularly evaluate\noperational and commercial strategies to ensure compliance with\nregulations and business continuity.<\/p>\n<p>Bumi Resources (BUMI), a Bakrie Group subsidiary, also commented.\nDirector Sri Dharmayanti said the company has not yet received the\ngovernment regulation on export governance, so it cannot yet comment on\nthe policy\u2019s implications for its operations.<\/p>\n<p>Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) president director Arief\nWidyawan Sidarto said it is too early to assess potential impacts of the\ndraft regulation. \u2018We are currently gathering information and evaluating\npotential impacts, including commodity coverage, implementation\nmechanisms, transition arrangements, and effects on contractual,\noperational, and financing relationships,\u2019 he said in a disclosure on 29\nMay 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Danantara Indonesia\u2019s managing director for stakeholders\nmanagement and communications, Rohan Hafas, said DSI would purchase\ncommodities from domestic producers at market prices and not act as a\nprice-setter. He added the company\u2019s role is to oversee transactions to\nensure market-based trade and prevent under-invoicing or under-pricing.\n\u2018PT DSI will ensure transactions proceed normally with prices reflecting\nmarket rates. Its function is to assist the government in preventing\nunder-invoicing,\u2019 Hafas stated at a press conference in Jakarta on 20\nMay 2026.<\/p>",
