        "content": "<p>Military to regreen Kalimantan<\/p>\n<p>SAMARINDA, East Kalimantan: In observance of the Indonesian<br>\nMilitary's 56th anniversary, Tanjungpura Military Command, which<br>\noversees Kalimantan will launch a one-million-tree environmental<br>\nprogram to regreen deforested areas of the province.<\/p>\n<p>Maj. Gen. Hadi Waluyo, chief of the military command, said<br>\nhere on Thursday that the launching of the regreening program<br>\nwould be marked with the planting of 35,000 durian and rambutan<br>\ntrees in the village of Bengkuring, near the city, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>He said the local military would give priority to the<br>\nregreening program in areas that were close to residential areas<br>\nbecause a similar program in remote deforested areas had already<br>\nbeen entrusted to companies holding forest concessionaires.<\/p>\n<p>He said the local military were carrying out the regreening<br>\nprogram to show its commitment to preserving the environment in<br>\nthe region. --Antara<\/p>",
