Military to help develop futsal<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Siliwangi Military Commander Maj. Gen. Zainuri
\nHasyim vowed to help develop futsal in the country, particularly
\nin his own territory in West Java and Banten.<\/p>\n
He made the vow after playing in a futsal exhibition against
\nformer national players at Padjadjaran sports hall in Bandung
\nover the weekend.<\/p>\n
\"I'm sure that futsal can increase our soccer players' skills,
\nespecially the youngsters. I will offer the use of a hall in the
\nSiliwangi Military Command for the development of futsal in West
\nJava,\" said Zainuri when closing a coaching clinic sponsored by
\nthe futsal team from the Soccer Association of Indonesia,
\nMcDonald's Indonesia and the Persib coaching corps.<\/p>\n
The clinic was attended by a record 118 participants,
\ncomprising coaches, referees and McDonald's crew. Similar clinics
\nwere held in Jakarta, Surabaya, Denpasar and Purwokerto.<\/p>\n
The community manager for McDonald's Indonesia, Cepi S.
\nHusada, said other cities including Tangerang, Serang, Padang,
\nBalikpapan and Banjarmasin had also offered to host a clinic.
