Military police conclude Theys probe<\/p>\n
JAYAPURA: The military police team tasked to investigate the
\nmurder of Papuan leader Theys Hilo Eluay concluded their
\ninvestigation on Thursday, saying there was no further evidence
\nto probe.<\/p>\n
Col. Sutarna, commander of the Military Police Command XVIII
\nTrikora, confirmed the stagnation of the investigation, and the
\nteam returned to the capital.<\/p>\n
\"At the moment we're just waiting for new information. The
\ninvestigation could now be concluded as the excavation around the
\nKopassus headquarters did not bring any result,\" Sutarna said
\nreferring to the search for the Theys' missing driver, thought to
\nbe a key witness, and last seen at the Kopassus headquarters.<\/p>\n
The Military Police investigation team was formed by the
\nIndonesian Military (TNI) headquarters following reports that
\nmembers of the Army's Special Force (Kopassus) were involved in

VP to visit Parepare Port<\/p>\n
PAREPARE: Vice President Hamzah Haz is scheduled to visit on
\nSaturday Parepare Port, the second busiest port in South Sulawesi
\nbehind the port in the provincial capital of Makassar.<\/p>\n
The visit is meant to allow the Vice President to examine the
\npossibility of expanding the port, which is equipped with a 230-
\nmeter berth, the head of the data and information section at
\nstate port management company PT Pelindo IV's Parepare office,
\nBurhanuddin, said on Thursday.<\/p>\n
The port is currently used to serve passenger liners operated
\nby state-owned shipping company PT Pelni, and cargo vessels from
\nboth domestic and foreign shipping companies.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Hamzah will be accompanied by four ministers
\nand South Sulawesi Governor HZB Palaguna, Burhanuddin said.<\/p>\n
Following the visit to the port, Hamzah will attend a
\ngathering of supporters of his United Development Party (PPP) in

2,000 RI institutions use nuclear<\/p>\n
DENPASAR: At least 2,000 government and private institutions
\nhere have been using nuclear powers and 10,000 equipments
\nthroughout the country generate radiation, Nuclear Power
\nSupervisory Board (Bapeten) head M. Ridwan said on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Hospital is one of the institutions that have been using
\nnuclear powers, Ridwan said when socializing the use of nuclear
\npower and its control in Denpasar, Bali on Thursday<\/p>\n
Ridwab further said that hospitals that have x-ray equipments
\nfor diagnose and therapy purposes have been using nuclear power,
\nradioactive substance and radiation.<\/p>\n
According to Ridwan, Bapeten helps the government in
\ncontrolling the use of nuclear power in Indonesia in accordance
\nwith existing laws.<\/p>\n
Bapeten also formulates national policies in monitoring the
\nuse of nuclear power and drafts national plans and programs in
