Subagya Jiwapraja, a former Bogor<br>\nMilitary Police detachment commander, as the new detachment<br>\ncommander of the Jakarta Military Garrison yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Subagya replaced Lt. Col. Otte Ruchiyat, who will be promoted<br>\nto deputy commander of Presidential Security Squad's Group C.<\/p>\n<p>Sutiyoso ordered the new detachment commander yesterday to<br>\ncontinue to take stern measures against Armed Forces (ABRI)<br>\nmembers who frequent prohibited places, including red light<br>\ndistricts, discotheques and entertainment centers.<\/p>\n<p>On July 5, the Jakarta Military Garrison arrested 34 soldiers<br>\nin an operation at discotheques and entertainment centers<br>\nthroughout the city.<\/p>\n<p>Sutiyoso said the main goal of the operation was to net<br>\nsoldiers who were believed to give protection to the discotheques<br>\nand entertainment centers.<\/p>\n<p>Many entertainment centers in the city have turned into drug<br>\ntrafficking places and gambling dens, he said.
