The Military Police (Pomdam) II\/Sriwijaya has apprehended the\nsuspected perpetrators involved in the shooting of fellow military\npersonnel in Palembang, South Sumatra.<\/p>\n
The incident resulted in the death of Private First Class Ferischal\nAlfarizky Abelsa, from the Denkesyah unit in Palembang, under the Kesdam\nII\/Swj command. The suspects are Sergeant MRR and a civilian with the\ninitials DS, who is accused of concealing evidence related to the\nfirearm.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe suspect, Sergeant MRR, was successfully apprehended while he was\nin the parking area of Bhayangkara Hospital. The perpetrator and\nwitnesses are currently being held at Madenpom II\/4 for further\ninvestigation,\u201d said Head of Public Information (Kadispen) of the\nIndonesian Army (TNI AD), Brigadier General Donny Pramono, in a\nstatement on Sunday (May 17).<\/p>\n
He also explained that Denpom II\/4 Palembang immediately conducted a\ncrime scene investigation, examined 21 witnesses, secured CCTV footage,\nand coordinated with Bhayangkara Hospital for an autopsy.<\/p>\n
Donny stated that the autopsy results showed that the cause of death\nwas a gunshot wound to the lower right abdomen, which penetrated the\nliver and left lung lobe, causing severe bleeding.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe homemade firearm used in the incident was found at DS\u2019s\nresidence, located in Srimulya Village, Sematang Borang, on Saturday\nnight at 8:15 PM,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He also mentioned that the Commander of the II\/Sriwijaya Military\nCommand had ordered the Deputy Chief of Intelligence and the Chief of\nthe Military Police to handle the case thoroughly. The file for MRR\u2019s\ncase will be immediately transferred to the I-05 Plg Military Court, and\nDS\u2019s case will be transferred to the Palembang City Police.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe would like to inform you that the military funeral ceremony for\nthe late Private First Class Ferischal Alfarizky Abelsa was held on\nSaturday afternoon at 5:45 PM at the Sematang Borang Public Cemetery in\nPalembang,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Donny explained that the incident began when both parties were at a\nnight entertainment venue. At around 2:30 AM, an argument occurred\nbetween Private BI and Sergeant MRR regarding a personal matter, which\nescalated into a physical altercation.<\/p>\n
Afterward, MRR was allegedly cornered and reportedly drew a homemade\nfirearm, firing shots that hit Private Ferischal.
